Horse Riding in The North Yorkshire Moors

The natural and most exciting way to see the North Yorkshire Moors is on horseback.

There are a number of local stables, and riding can be arranged for all standards. Many of our guests book riding directly with the stables but we have composed some points to consider:

Bookings

Our Reservations team can make your reservation with the stables, however the stables need to know personal details including height and weight and also your horse riding experience so they can match the right horse for you. As such you may prefer to make arrangements directly with the stables.

Arriving for your lesson

The stables normally recommend that you are at the stables fifteen minutes before your start time. Please check with reception for directions and estimated driving times from the hotel.

Equipment Hire and Clothing

Equipment is supplied via the stables. Horse riding clothing is not required, but flat shoes or boots are essential.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Payment is made directly with the stables and credit cards are accepted. Advance booking is required. The stables require 24 hours notice of cancellation. If cancelling within the 24 hours and the stables are unable to resell the appointment then the full amount of the lesson will be charged.
